The Common Place Book of Robert Jordan

1795

This 'Common Place Book' was compiled by Robert Jordan over the course of the second half of the Eighteenth Century. It was common for Plantation owners to record details of their estates into such books. Any detail could be included in them from the ages of their slaves or dates of birth to crop cycles, advice and other information to do with the running of the plantation.
